ABOUT US

The Omani German Friendship Association is an independent,membership organization, founded in 2014. The OGFA aims to encourage and strengthen the fraternity, understanding and friendship among the peoples of the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany. It also plays a pivotal role in bringing closer ties of friendship, unity and goodwill among its members. 

In collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and associations, OGFA also acts as a bridge in promoting trade, investment , economic , academic and cultural linkages between Oman and Germany.

HH Sayyid Tarik Shabib  Taimur Al Said

Chairman of the Board

His Highness Sayyid Tarik Al Said is Vice Chairman of Tawoos LLC, a family office, which owns and invests in a number of businesses inside and outside Oman

 

His Highness is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Renaissance Services SAOG, the Chairman of Renaissance Duqm Holding Company SAOC, which builds and owns large scale accommodation facilities for contractors;Chairman of Babcock Oman LLC and the Patron of Oman’s Environmental NGO “the Environment Society of Oman”.

 

H.H. Tarik Al Said studied at Eton College and holds a BA & MA from Pembroke College, Oxford University.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Hosni

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Hosni is the Vice Chairman and President of Qurum Business Group. Sheikh Abdul Aziz completed his education in the US and has served on the board of several corporates in Oman, including; Oman Air, Sohar University, Oman Hotels & Tourism, United Finance Co, Muscat Gas, National Gas, Al Ahlia to name a few.

Mazin Al Naamani

Mazin is a Co-founding Partner at Cyfr Capital. His background stems from investing in the venture capital asset class and managing a global investment portfolio of innovative and disruptive technology companies. He also spent time with the US based venture capital firm Pelion Venture Partners at their office in Utah.
 

As an angel investor, Mazin has made a number of seed and growth investments in disruptive technology companies across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as being an investor in Bitcoin since 2016. 
Mazin is an active startup ecosystem contributor in the GCC, mentoring a handful of high potential entrepreneurs and startups in Oman (National Youth Program), as well as KSA, UAE and Qatar (Startupbootcamp). 

Additionally, he is a Global Shaper, a membership initiative of the World Economic Forum intended to promote youth empowerment globally through the pursuit of sustainable and scalable socio-economic projects.

He holds an Executive Degree in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in International Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Kingston University and a Bachelor of Business in Management and Entrepreneurship from Bond University

Aaditya Ramesh Khimji

Mr Aaditya Khimji is the Managing Director of the Ramesh Khimji Group of Companies, a Family Business based in the Sultanate of Oman with a focus on Infrastructure Development in the Middle East. Aaditya graduated from Babson College (Boston, MA) in 2009.

 

From the 1970s the group has been active in the civil construction industry and the trade & manufacturing of building materials. Aaditya joined the group in 2009 and has since formed new JVs including the formation of Seeracom to focus on wireless telecommunication technology and was contracted for the turnkey design, supply, installation and commissioning of TETRA Systems for the development of Muscat and Salalah International Airports. We were able to integrate systems by Siemens, DAMM, Sepura, Thales and more to provide a complete Tetra solution for the airports. 

 

At present Aaditya and the group are focused on system integration and project management for the IT and telecommunications industry; we aim to not only provide state of the art systems in critical communications but also to serve our country in seeking optimal and efficient solutions that are required for safety. The group has partnerships and has worked with German companies such as Siemens for our airport projects and Aaronia AG, an industry leader in RF Detection and Monitoring. Yousef Mohammed Al-Yousef

Mr Yousef has over 10 years experience in the investment management industry and is Managing Partner for Orthus Capital’s Commodities, Hedge Fund and Real Estate Strategies. Yousef started his career at Abraaj Capital where he was a MENA Analyst working under their public markets asset management arm – MENASA Capital Management Ltd. He then went on to set-up his own business ventures in the commodities, real-estate and asset management industries. He is co-founder and Director of Orthus Capital LLC, co-founder and Director of Schwarz Rot Goldene Real Estate Solutions ME Limited, co-founder and Director of Manoa Gold And Jewelry Trading LLC, Board Member & Director at Al Yousef Group LLC, Board Member & Secretary of the Oman Business Council in Dubai and Director of Muscat Finance Company SAOG – a publicly listed financial leasing company in the Sultanate of Oman.

 

As a co-founder of SRG, Yousef has established a strong network in the German real estate market and has successfully completed a number of acquisitions on behalf of his clients. Yousef holds a BSc (Hons.) in Business Management from King’s College London and is a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Oman Chapter.
